selling

What can I sell?

You can sell any pre-loved children's clothes from 0-5 years (apart from underwear). We just ask that you check your items to make sure they are washed and in a condition you would be happy to accept as a buyer.

How much do I get paid?

When your item is sold, we split the profits:

50% to you as the seller
25% to the carousel to go towards running costs
25% to our ‘community pot’ to be shared with our nursery/pre-school partners

We are operating a not-for-profit business so we will only use our share of the profit to cover our running costs and the rest goes back into the community

How do I sell?

Please see our sell page.

What happens if I don't want you to list my items for the price you suggest?

We do our research to make sure we’re suggesting a fair price, taking into consideration the original price (if we can find it!) as well as what other similar items are being sold for on other sites, but if you don’t agree you can just let us know and we’ll return your items to you via your hub.

What happens if my items don't sell?

We are launching the carousel with a very small number of nursery/pre-school partners, so to begin with our pool of families buying and selling is starting small. If your items haven’t sold after 6 months we will get in touch with you to ask whether you would like them returned to you.

How do I get paid?

We can either transfer directly into your account, or we can transfer via PayPal. When we get in touch to let you know your item has sold you can let us know your preference and share the details.

N.B. Our returns policy means that buyers have up to 14 days
to request a refund if for any reason they’re not happy with the item they’ve bought, so you’ll receive your % of the sale into the account details you’ve provided after 14 days.

What are the delivery charges?

Great news...no delivery charges! As you are buying and selling with other local families of our partner nurseries and pre-schools, we will use your 'hub' to drop your item(s) to you. This also reduces the environmental impact of lots of parcel deliveries.

You can check where your hub is here.

How long will my item(s) take to arrive?

We aim to deliver items to buyer’s ‘hubs’ within 5 working days – we will notify you by email when your parcel is ready to collect.

What is the returns policy?

If for any reason you’re not happy with your purchase when it arrives, please get in touch to let us know you’d like to return it within 14 days.

You’ll just need to return to your ‘hub’ for us to collect and we will transfer a full refund.

Find my hub

We work with local nurseries and pre-schools who act as a 'hub' by providing a secure location for their families to drop off and collect items.

Below is a list of our nursery and pre-school partners (our hubs) and location of the drop-off points.

Willows, Colliers Wood – Buggy store

Willows, Wimbledon – Buggy store

If you are a nursery or pre-school and would like to become a partner, we’d love to hear from you so please get in touch!

Where my money goes

Who gets what?

When your item is sold, we split the profits:

50% to you as the seller
25% to the carousel to go towards running costs
25% to our ‘community pot’ to be shared with our nursery/pre-school partners

We are operating a not-for-profit business so we will only use our share of the profit to cover our running costs and the rest goes back into the community

What is the community pot

Every time an item is sold, 25% of the profit goes into the community pot. This is a pot of funds held by the carousel which will go towards funding projects and resources with a sustainability focus for your local nurseries and pre-schools. The total is split between all our partners so every nursery and pre-school working with us will benefit equally.

How is the community pot spent?

Every 6 months we will aim to review how much is in the pot and work with our nursery and pre-school partners to decide on how to spend this. We want to inspire and educate children around sustainability, so the projects we fund will be defined with this objective in mind. It could be anything from starting a gardening project, an educational trip for the children, or resources such as books.

We will update you on how your nursery/pre-school is spending these funds.
